A heart-centered spiritual awakening retreat
with Vedaji & friends
Come tend your garden with the guidance of Vedaji & friends as we walk together in the essence of our heartspace. Explore how to plant the seeds of love and devotion through the practice of Bhakti yoga. Uncover the essence of the heart by learning to weed your mind through Advaita Vedanta, a self-inquiry practice that allows us to uncover our true, authentic Selves.
Join us for a two day retreat where we will connect with the growing Connecticut bhakti yoga community, learn heart-centered yogic practices from a realized spiritual master and other experienced yoga leaders, and discover how important self-less service is to our own spiritual advancement.
What You’ll Get
Yoga Philosophy
Vedaji will guide us through interactive spiritual practice and yoga philosophy sessions to help us open our hearts to ourselves and others. Group discussion, activities, and Q&A will be included.
Meditation/Yoga nidra
Intuitively guided meditation and yoga nidra sessions by Vedaji and Keshavi Devi will be offered as needed throughout the program.
Kirtan
A yoga mantra chanting experience with Vedaji, Nirvana, and Keshavi will take place on Saturday. Discover how singing mantras allows you to tap into the essence of your heart.
Vegetarian Meals
Each day includes one delicious, healthy vegetarian lunch made with love. Water, tea, and snacks will also be made available throughout the weekend.
Yoga Asana
A gentle yoga class with Daksa Devi will be offered along with stretches and movement as needed throughout the program. No previous yoga experience is required.
Breathwork
Vedaji will lead participants through his signature ‘breath of detachment,’ a circular breathing technique based in yoga that allows participants to open their hearts and release what no longer serves.
Why Should I Come?
Vedaji is the former head of monastery in India and founder of Mindful Seva Institute and Food4Lives. Having dedicated his life to the service of others and spreading his message of love and compassion around the world, he’s joining us in Connecticut for a special weekend of connection and a journey into our hearts.
Through the practices of vedanta, bhakti yoga and Vedaji’s loving presence, we’ll set the seeds in our own heart to realize our true loving nature.
Meditation, breathwork, asana (physical movement) and Vedaji’s teachings will help remove anything that keeps us from being loving towards ourselves. Vedaji will speak on topics close to our hearts, empowering us to extend the love we show ourselves to all others. We’ll celebrate with kirtan and loving association with sangha (yoga community).
