The Venice Carnivale is from February 22 - March 4. It is stands as a symbol of mystery, tradition and grandeur. The largest concentration of masked and costumed people is in Saint Mark's Square in Venice. For those of us who can't be there in Venice or in New Orleans for Mardi Gras, lets celebrate in Durham! The theme for Mardi Gras this year is "Free to be".

Lets decorate a Carnivale mask or Mardi Gras mask and then have a party! This is about fun and joy which is needed toward the last days of winter.

Materials will be provided Masks, feathers, beads, jewels, furs (fake) and more...
