Where You Are Is Where You're At
Every expert started as a beginner, and with your own personal journey it’s no different. You must acknowledge and honor where you are at today so that you can celebrate your progress tomorrow. Take a moment to breathe, slow your roll, and center yourself. Where you are is exactly where you’re supposed to be.
The biggest roadblock is when we get all worked up over wanting to be “somewhere else” on our journey. We tell ourselves we aren’t moving fast enough, we’ll never get what we want, things are too hard or overwhelming, or that we don’t deserve it.
Comparison is what kills dreams.
Honoring where you are right now will anchor you to a starting point to compare you to you, NOT to someone else. Everyone here is on their own unique journey and trying to compare them would be like attempting to find the similarities between an elephant and an orange. Sure, they both have distinct scents, but that’s about it. Just like humans- we’re all in meat suits, but underneath is a multidimensional being with a very specific mission.
Our past isn’t what defines us, nor does it create our future. Decisions made in the present moment create our realities, although we do have the choice to choose the same thing as we’ve always chosen, aka identify with our past.
As we grow and change, we can use the past as a way to measure our progress, not as a place to live and dwell. We’re able to recognize old patterns when we look back and see who we were, as well as distinguish choices that were made consciously over unconscious autopilot.
The present moment is all we have. Yesterday and tomorrow don’t matter because they do not exist. Allow yourself to fully experience all that the present moment has to give you, it’s all part of the journey.
How are you honoring or resisting where you’re at today?
